Amir Khanvs Neeraj Goyat set for July 12
Amir Khan will make history when he steps in the ring with India’s Neeraj Goyat on July 12.
Coming off an April 20 loss to Terence Crawford, the former champion will look to rebound in a historic match-up with Goyat. The fight will take place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during a very important event.
A devout Muslim, Khan’s presence in Saudi Arabia, home of Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Medina, has a chance to transcend cultural boundaries.
Goyat (11-3-2, 2KOs) is a former Indian amateur standout. However, as a professional, he hasn’t had as much success.
Khan, a two-time champion, will head into the fight as the favorite over Goyat, who will look to pull off a major upset.
