Khan Ready To Return

Is Khan vs Brook still a possibility

Eddie Hearn has confirmed that Amir Khan will return to the ring in August or September against an opponent yet to be determined. Khan who returned to the ring in April after a two year layoff, defeating Phil Lo Greco by first round TKO.

Khan signed a three fight deal with Matchroom Boxing, which led to speculation that Khan will eventually meet Kell Brook. Well Hearn has stated that shall Khan be victorious the hopes is for him a Brook to finally fight in December.

Brook who returns in July has publicly called out Khan for years now. Both fighters have feuded for quite sometime now, Khan has even gone as far as saying he will never give Brook the payday.

The fight itself was huge domestically at one point, whether it is or isn’t still remains to be seen. The public in England has shown interest in the bout for a long time, has the support dwindled some, sure it has. Will it still be a major domestic fight, yes it will be.

Can Hearn get both guys in the ring? Well that is the key question after Khan returns to the ring, Hearn has him for one more fight. It will be prudent for Hearn to try to get a deal done for Khan’s third fight.

If the bout does not happen in December look for it to happen early in 2019. It’s a fight that makes sense for both men financially, as it gives them the best payday possible.

Brook wants the fight still, Khan has shown a willingness to make the fight, sometimes is better late than never. If it happens it looks like it might be at a catchweight as Khan still fights at welterweight and Brook has moved up to jr middleweight.
