Sergey Kovalev gets three years probation for alleged attack on woman and dog
Former unified light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (34-4-1, 29KOs) avoided jail after initially facing felony charges. He would cop a plea deal in the alleged attack on a woman and her dog in an incident back 2018.
So instead of serving time, he will spend the next three years on probation. The alleged attack happened back in 2018 in Big Bear, California. Kovalev was accused of punching Jamie Frontz in the face after she refused his sexual advances. Frontz also alleged that he kicked her dog.

Although he will not be serving jail time over the alleged incident, there is a civil case that appears to be moving forward. Frontz is seeking $650,000 that she alleges Kovalev agrees to pay.
