Adam Kownacki is closing in on a life changing opportunity!

Adam “Babyface” Kownacki (20-0, 15ko) has fought his way into a possible title opportunity. That is, provided he gets past veteran fighter Robert “The Nordic Nightmare” Helenius (29-3, 18ko). These two combatants will be the headliner at the Barclays Center, NY, on March 7 live on Fox.

Kownacki will have the home-crowd pulling for him hard. However, when looking at the rankings, it becomes clear there is a lot at stake in this fight. The New York heavyweight fighter is ranked inside the top five by the WBA, IBF and WBO, with the WBC placing him at #6.

How ironic is it that former unified champion Andy “Destroyer” Ruiz (33-2, 22ko) is on the heels of the New York boxer? It has been rumored Kownacki is a possible opponent for the former champion.

Furthermore, a defeat would be a major setback for Kownacki. Especially given the big money fight that could be on the table later down the line.

Babyface defeated former IBF champion “Prince” Charles Martin back in 2018, a shocker that propelled him into the consciousness of the boxing community. He followed that up with two excellent performances, stopping Gerald “El Gallo Negro” Washington (20-4, 13ko) and Chris “The Nightmare” Arreola (38-6, 33ko). Both are former title contenders.

It is all right there in front of Babyface. He has been calling for a title fight since 2019 , now it’s time to show and prove is he ready for the big stage or if the pressure will be too much.
