Mike Lee being endorsed by Manny Pacquiao has increased his confidence!
On July 20, in Las Vegas, Mike “White Bear” Lee (21-0, 11 KO’s) will challenge Caleb “Sweet Hands” Plants for his IBF super middleweight title.
Their co-feature bout will be the final free fight aired on FOX before the actual pay-per-view portion begins. Along with this premium placement in the fight line up, Lee was the recipient of some very high praise.
Even with his own fight approaching, Manny Pacquiao took the time to wish Lee good luck and supply his validation.
“It’s been amazing. I mean, I love Manny Pacquiao, I love Team Pacquiao. I fought on his under-cards my entire career in Las Vegas, so I’m rooting for him and his endorsement is incredible.
“I’m grateful!”
Mike Lee – Super Middleweight Contender
When the subjected turned to his opponent, Caleb Plant, the White Bear was full of confidence. Lee normally competes in the light heavyweight division.
However, he came down for the opportunity to fight for Plant’s IBF super middleweight strap. Going into this prizefight, most believe that it’s Plant match to lose.
Clearly, Lee is not shaken by the common perception and has successfully focused himself on the task at hand.
“I’m not worried about Caleb Plant. All I have to do is be the best Mike Lee and you’re going to see there is going to be a ‘new’ world champion.”
Throughout the pre-fight hype, Sweet Hands has reassured time and time again that this fight will not go the distance.
Even though he is not known for his concussive power, Plant is confident that it’ll be an early night in the office. As the bigger, and presumably, stronger man in the ring, Lee is faithful that his power will make a big difference once they meet in the ring.
We’re just going to have to wait until they collide to see how this fun title fight plays out.
