Lopez vs Martin Undercard Results: Jared Anderson Dominates Again

JARED ANDERSON VS JERRY FOREST – On the Teofimo Lopez vs Sandor Martin undercard, heavyweight prospect “Big Baby” Anderson (13-0, 13KO) went to work from the sound of the bell as he unloaded early on Forrest (26-6-2, 20KO). He landed a hard left hand with a good body shot that sent Forrest staggering to the corner.

Anderson was like a video game character whose energy level was at the maximum as he threw non-stop punches for over a minute. In the second round, he was like a shark smelling blood, attacking a hurt Forrest against the corner before landing a left hook that toppled the underdog over and forcing the referee to stop the fight.

It is time to step-up the level of competition as Anderson called out some of the top fighters in the division in the post-fight interview.

XANDER ZAYAS VS ALEXIS SALAZAR FLORES

In a classic Puerto Rico versus Mexico rivalry, junior-middleweight Puerto Rican sensation Zayas (15-0, 10KO) was a power-punching juggernaut. He started fast landing the jab and landed debilitating body shots it looked as if it was about to be a short night. However, Salazar (24-5, 9KO) being the veteran, changed things around by throwing in between the punches slowing down the younger fighter’s offense. Yet, Zayas responded to being tested and started landing left hooks followed by straight right hands combinations. One judge had it 80-72 and two scored it 79-73, all in favor of Zayas. The young fighter needs to watch the tape and work on his head movement and punch variation.

KEYSHAWN DAVIS VS JUAN CARLOS BURGOS

Nickname the Businessman, Davis (7-0, 5KO) was all business as he was laser-focused working behind the jab and going to Burgo’s (35-7-3, 21KO) body early. This was a one-sided affair as the talented lightweight was in the zone landing hard body shots and creating a home for those right uppercuts. The three-time world title challenger veteran Burgo was supposed to provide a test but was not able to mount any kind of offense. Davis showed a level of calm beyond his years as he cruised to a shutout victory with all three judges scoring it 80-72 for the Businessman. 3kingsboxing has no problem with those scorecards.

DELANTE JOHNSON VS MIKE OHAN JR

Johnson (7-0, 5KO) was on his game against a quality opponent in Ohan Jr (16-2, 9KO). The young talented welterweight worked on sharpening those skills by sparring with top contender Jaron “Boots” Ennis and it showed. Working behind an educated jab, he targeted the body and found a home for the overhand right. Furthermore, he did a good job of being first for the majority of the contest. In round five, the Ohio native landed an overhand right that was the beginning of the end as he blasted Ohan Jr with a flurry of punches. The referee gave Ohan Jr ample warning to fight back before stopping the fight. Johnson has shown tremendous growth with this win.
