Ryan Garcia Feels His Grand Vision is Unfolding as Destiny Ordained

Super lightweight fighter “King” Ryan Garcia has seen many highs and lows during his relatively short professional career. He is obviously a media darling and has been mentioned as an opponent for some of the sport’s top names. At the same time though, he is frequently lampooned for the shallow list of dangerous foes on his ledger, as well as being labeled a mentally weak liar with no belly for stiff-competition.

IN THE STARS

Yet, nearly all his detractors could be silenced following his April 22 duel with Regular WBA 135-pound champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis (28-0, 26 KO’s). The two will mix it up at the T-Mobile Arena located in Las Vegas in one of the year’s most anticipated prizefights. It’s a fight that Garcia (23-0, 19 KO’s), 24, has chased for years. No matter what trials King Ryan braved to get to this point however, as he told to SecondsOut, the Californian insists that he never doubted his arriving to this point.

“I had a vision after I knocked out Fonseca, if you remember my words, where I said I am going to take out Linares, I’m going to take out Luke Campbell, I’m going to go after Tank Davis, I’m going to go after Devin Haney. That was my plan.

And no matter the fire that I went through, no matter the hurt that I had to go through, I always knew in the back of my mind that was going to happen and now we’re here, perfectly fine . . . so this is the path that I’ve always known was destined to be and that’s why I am so confident, I’m so happy I’m here. I feel like it was always meant to be!”

FACT OR FICTION?

Now, with his grand vision before his eyes, it’s time for Garcia to prove himself in the ring. Clearly this will be no small undertaking. Davis is a ferocious puncher who has only seen two opponents hear the final bell.

A common belief is that Garcia will use his height and reach to claim the first several rounds over the Baltimore-born southpaw. This would unfold only for Garcia to be caught and finished after the halfway point in the match. This was a similar formula when Davis staged his highly visible showdown with Rolando Romero.

Luckily for fight fans everywhere, there is not much more time to go before these two slide in the ring! Will Davis continue on his destructive path, or will Garcia prove himself to be a modern day prophet?! No matter how it all pans out, 3Kings Boxing will be here to report all the action and fallout!
