Lorenzo Simpson taking aim at The Prospect Killer

Well there is no doubt that red hot southpaw super middleweight prospect Lorenzo “Truck” Simpson (8-0, 5 KO’s) has his eyes on “Cassius” Clay Collard (8-2-3, 3 KO’s). Collard first stormed into popularity with his recent unlikely win over David “The Lion of Zion” Kaminsky (6-1, 3 KO’s) on ESPN.

Despite being brought in as a stepping stone opponent for Kaminsky, Collard pulled off an unexpected win in very exciting fashion. In fact, his performance was such a hit for the ESPN audience that he was brought back a month later to fight Lorawnt Nelson (5-4, 4 KO’s), who he easily knocked out.

NOT ON THIS LEVEL

Following his unforeseen win over Kaminsky, Collard has affectionately been referred to as “The Prospect Killer”. Simpson feels that the new moniker and the immense attention that Cassius is receiving is laughable. This is precisely why he told Fight Hype that he’d love to take on the latest underdog to feel the heat of the bright lights of success.

“He got a split decision with David Kaminsky, they got a split decision with another guy, I punished these guys! David is my guy though, but it is what it is; I punished these guys. I feel like they used him as a good thing but now they pumping him up. Like Prospect Killer, I feel like come on, I’m a prospect!”

“…I will whoop his ass, easy! That’s just that, he’s not that good to me. The last guy they gave him was a duck just to make him look good. But he cool, he got heart, but I don’t think he should be in a race with boxing. Like they are trying to put him like he was supposed to be up there or something, he not! I feel like that is disrespectful just to pump something up just to get some extra money.”

PROVE IT THEN!

Seeing all the limelight that Collard is now basking in has Simpson licking his chops wanting to seize his position. That’s why, if given the opportunity, he would love to ply his fistic trade against Cassius in the ring. In an ideal world, that is exactly what would happen and perhaps the bout is already being hammered out.

“Definitely I am willing, I am here! I am pretty sure they are going to see this. I’m here, it’s a phone call. I will fight him. I’m not with the Twitter and stuff or like the Instagram fake trying to get clout, I don’t care nothing about none of that. I am trying to be the best fighter, so if they see this they have been contacting us, we talked to them, we done been in meetings with them, we can make the fight happen!”
