Telemundo Boxeo features Lozano vs Espinoza!
The series of Boxeo Telemundo has been a summer success, although it hasn’t generated much mainstream attention. All the same, it hasn’t prevented the series from having some great bouts.
Daniel Lozano (15-4, 11 KOs) will face off against Ricardo Espinoza Franco (20-2, 17 KOs) in a season-ending bout that promises to be a fan friendly affair.
Lozano, a 28 year-old Florida native, suffered three straight losses in 2015. However, he would manage to bounce back by avenging two of those defeats.
His upset victories over both David Carmona and Ricardo Rodriguez in 2017 included capturing the WBO NABO/Latino Bantamweight titles while avenging those earlier defeats.
Franco, a 21 year-old Mexican fighter, has faced limited competition, but can produce some power. This will be his first attempt competing for any type of title. He’s hoping a victory can see him break inside the ranking system.
The WBO ranked #4 Lozano has more experience in big fights and will have home field advantage.
On the other hand, Espinoza will be looking to cause an upset by employing his height and power advantage.
This Friday’s event is presented by All Star Boxing which will be televised on the Telemundo Network at the Bryan Glazer Family JCC Auditorium in Tampa Bay, FL
