James Metcalf to face Liam Williams on Warrington vs Frampton undercard.
Unbeaten James Metcalf (18-0, 10 KOs) will be taking on Liam Williams (18-2, 13 KOs). He’ll be defending his junior middleweight WBC international title.
In his last ring outing Metcalf put a stop to Aitor Nieto in the twelfth round, capturing the WBC international title. This fight with Williams will be Metcalf’s biggest fight to date.
Williams is no stranger to big domestic fights. He has been in the ring twice with Liam Smith, losing both times.
A win here for either man will no doubt move them up the rankings in the WBC, closer to a title shot at current WBC junior middleweight champion Jermell Charlo.
