Heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois (9-0, 8KO) is yet again gaining experience sparring the best. The young fighter has received an invititation to help Jarrell Miller prepare for his upcoming title bout with unified champion Anthony Joshua.

The 21 year old United Kingdom boxer has sparred the likes of former title contender Alexander Povetkin, Derek Chisora, Joe Joyce and unified champion Joshua. This could be why the Brooklyn challenger wants him in camp.

Rumors of those sparring sessions against the unified champion have been circulating throughout boxing of him dropping the champion. That is why you would bring him into camp; to learn what you can about your future opponent.

Miller on Dubois

In an interview with talkSPORT, the brash heavyweight challenger Miller shared some words.

“Yeah, there are no guys bigger than me. That’s not possible at this point… I found a couple of guys taller than me, I wanna say one name, I heard the kids a badass”

“I like the kid, I like him a lot, I like his energy and I heard he’s thumped AJ a couple times down in the gym as well, too” – Jarrell Miller

Many regard Dubois as the future of the heavyweight division with a wealth of talent and raw power. However, before he can join team Miller in the United States, he must first get past Razvan Cojanu (16-5, 9KO).

Cojanu has vowed that the young prospect won’t fair well against him. Standing at 6’7″, he believes his size will be the deciding factor in their upcoming bout.

It also worth noting that fight was supposed to take place last year. However, it was postponed due to illness of the young fighter. Cojanu’s last fight was a unanimous decision loss to Dubois’ domestic rival, undefeated Nathan Gorman, who has an upcoming fight March 23rd.

The hard hitting heavyweight no doubt will be extra motivated to send a message to his rival fellow countryman; hoping to start a new knockout streak. Catch both men in action March 23rd at the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington.
