Top Rank signs Kudratillo Abdukakhorov to a three-fight deal!

3KingsBoxing has learned Top Rank signed unbeaten Uzbekistani welterweight contender Kudratillo Abdukakhorov to a three-fight deal!

Abdukakhorov, whose real name is Qudratillo Abduqaxorov, holds a record of 15-0, with 9 knockouts. Additionally, he is the current WBC silver welterweight champion and ranked #4 by the IBF.

What makes the signing noteworthy is the upcoming fight with Keita Obara of Japan in an IBF title eliminator. That match will take place March 30 on the under-card of Oleksandr Gvozdyk vs Doudou Ngumbu. With this deal in place, look for his fight against Obara to air on ESPN as well.

With Abdukakhorov’s first fight under Top Rank being an title eliminator, he will more than likely be installed as the IBF #1 contender if successful against Obara. A victory would put him in line for the winner of Errol Spence vs Mikey Garcia.

Ultimately, this is a very shrewd move on the part of Top Rank not only setting up a fight for the top contender spot, but for an eventual future mandatory title defense for either Spence or Garcia.
