Luis Nery vs Juan Carlos Payano set for Pacquiao vs Thurman under-card
Luis Nery will take on Juan Carlos Payano in a battle of former world champions. The bout, on paper, seems destined to be an absolute explosive battle.
Former world champion Rau’shee Warren was also in the mix as a possible opponent for Nery. However, with the more fan-friendly style, Payano got the nod. The Dominican is two fights removed from getting destroyed in the first round of the WBSS tournament by IBF champion Naoya Inoue last October.
This addition makes the Pacquiao vs Thurman event more appealing to the casual fan who love to see action-packed fights that end in knockouts. We expect to get an official announcement shortly.
