Longtime champion wants to throw his hat in at Super Flyweight
Donnie Nietes who’s coming off an impressive seventh round TKO victory over Juan Carlos Reveco, announced today that it is his intention to move up to the Super Flyweight division.
The Super Flyweight division is already loaded with P4P talent with the likes of Srisaket Sor Rungvisa, Juan Francisco Estrada, Roman Gonzalez and Jerwin Ancajas just to name a few.
Here’s what Donnie Nietes had to say about his impending arrival into the Junior Bantamweight division.
“I’m really decided to go up in weight,” said Nietes to The Inquirer. “I have no [hesitations], I’m really going to move up to 115.”
“Actually, I really, really want to fight at 115 because that’s where the big names and great boxers are. That’s where my dream fights are,” Nietes stressed.
Nietes has long wanted to jump into the spotlight and this move could be just the one required to do so.
