Raymond Muratalla Wins Robson Conceicao IBF Title Defense

In his latest tour of duty, IBF lightweight champion Raymond “Danger” Muratalla (25-0, 17 KO’s) defeated Robson Conceicao (21-4-1, 10 KO’s) by way of unanimous decision. When the cards were read, Muratalla won with the tally of 119-109 (twice) and 118-110.

This duel with Conceicao stood as his second title defense and final bout in the division. While providing his post-fight interview, Danger let it be known that making weight was taking its toll on him and forcing his hand to go up in weight. When questioned about who he would like to dance with next, Muratalla did not provide any specifics outside of saying he wanted to face a champion.

Currently, the standing champions are Shakur Stevenson (WBO), Dalton Smith (WBC) and Gary Antuanne Russell (WBA). Politically, it would have been the easiest to move up and face the IBF champion. Unfortunately for him, that title is vacant. Of the remaining three options, Dalton Smith is already scheduled to face Alberto Puello this October 24. That being said, neither Russell or Stevenson have any announced matches and are seemingly available. Let’s see what Team Muratalla can come up with next!
