Regis Prograis says Adrien Broner is shot!
Former WBA Junior Welterweight champion Regis “Rougarou” Prograis (25-1, 21ko) and four-divisional champion Adrien “The Problem AB” Broner (34-4-1, 24ko) are on a collision course to fight. Following his victory over Puerto Rican fighter Jovanie Santiago, AB dropped Prograis’ name again during the post-fight presser.
THE CALLOUT THAT STARTED IT ALL
Broner has been calling out the former champion since 2019. During a social media rant, the always-vocal former champion spoke very candidly.
“Man everybody keeps talking about Regis Prograis! I’ll beat the fuck out of buddy, no cap. So the blog, y’all can send that to him, I don’t give a fuck. I’m right here! I’ll fuck buddy up.”
~ Adrien Broner
Now, of course, Rougarou responded by calling the Ohio native a clown that nobody takes seriously in the sport of boxing. Furthermore, he went hard after AB for mentioning retirement after calling him out.
“Bitch I want to see you. Don’t talk about you going to retire and all that.”
~ Regis Prograis
Fast forward to 2021 and it is the same thing; both men continue to trade shots. Now with boxing having resumed from the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a good chance we could see this fight sometime this year.
Broner doubled down on beating Prograis, making it clear once again what will happen if they ever meet in the ring.
“If he gets in the right with me, I’m going to fuck him up.”
~ Adrien Broner
3kingsboxing reached out to the New Orleans native, and he was more than happy to clap back at the four-divisional champion.
“I really think I can fuck him up, like destroy him. He said he going to fuck me up and all that shit. His performance Saturday was fucking terrible.”
~ Regis Prograis
Rougarou did not hold his tongue when asked if the boxing community should give up on hoping the old “brush my hair” Broner returns.
“He’s done. I think he’s shot!”
~ Regis Prograis
Both of these former champions seem to want the fight and have been calling out each other long enough. Hopefully, the powers that be will make the fight.
