Salas vs Rocha Is A Fight Worth Making
Top welterweight contender, Ricardo “Magic Man” Salas (21-2-2, 16 KOs) could look to challenge Alexis “Lex” Rocha (25-2-1, 16KO) next.
On April 5, Magic Man made mincemeat and stopped Kent Cruz by way of TKO. After scoring four knockdowns with vicious shots to the body and head, Salas was awarded the victory in two quick rounds.
With the win, Salas has strengthened his standing in the division and should have afforded himself several handsome options. Armed with his #10 IBF ranking Magic Man may very well pursue a duel with #5 IBF ranked Alexis Rocha. Rocha has been inactive since his December 14, 2024 draw with Raul Curiel and should be in the market for a fight.
If there is no fruit with Rocha, perhaps Salas could press for a fight with Conor Benn. Benn has a showdown with long-time rival Chris Eubank Jr April 26. Yet, it is well known that Benn has been trying to break into the American market. Perhaps the Mexican fighter can use this drive to finagle a beneficial fight for himself by offering a neutral ground battle in the States.
