Green Targets Franchon Crews-Dezurn vs Savannah Marshall Winner

Shadasia “The Sweet Terminator” Green (12-0, 11 KOs) will be paying serious attention to the upcoming July 1 battle between undisputed women’s super middleweight champion Franchon “The Heavy-Hitting Diva” Crews-Dezurn (8-1, 2 KOs) and former WBO middleweight champion Savannah Marshall (12-1, 10 KOs). The mandatory contender by the WBA and WBC at 168, Green is looking to fight the winner.

Green became the mandatory contender after a sixth-round thrashing over former unified 168-pound champion Elin Cederroos in February 2023. When the World Boxing Council ordered a fight between Green and the undisputed champion in April 2023, Green thought she was on the cusp of a matchup with the undisputed champion.

WARNING SHOT

Now, she must wait. Speaking to media outlet All Sports Media TV, Shadasia Green said her motivation is at an all-time high upon hearing about the fight between Crews-Dezurn and Marshall.

“I’m the type of person to let my hands do the talking . . . I felt like I had earned my opportunity to fight for the undisputed title. So, I was a bit taken aback.

But now, it just gets worse for whoever the winner is. I’m working on my craft, and I’m training. I’m going hard consistently and I’m learning new things, and things are just coming together for me. So, I look forward to facing the winner with no problem. I’m ready for it.”

Green and Crews-Dezurn are far from friendly. They have a history going back to their days in the amateurs. At a European amateur tournament, Green accused the Heavy-Hitting Diva of spitting at her.

The mandatory WBC and WBA challenger has really come into her own as a fighter. Her punching power is evident when you see her in action. But she’s not just a hard hitter. The Sweet Terminator also has a high skillset. She has the ability to beat either Crews-Dezurn or Marshall. Many boxing observers would agree that the mandatory challenger is ready. Green wants her title shot, and she wants it now.
