Franchon Crews-Dezurn vs Shadasia Green Ordered By the WBC
The boxing community is buzzing after recent news the WBC has ordered a fight between undisputed super middleweight champion “The Heavy Hitting Diva” Franchon Crews-Dezurn (8-1, 2KO) and mandatory challenger Shadasia “The Sweet Terminator” Green (12-0, 11KO).
According to ESPN, the WBC has given the teams until April 28 to come to an agreement before they will order a purse bid. These fighters have known each other going back to their amateur days. Moreover, they were bound to fight sooner or later as both fighters had each other in their crosshairs.
Green’s ferocious fighting style and attitude have been compared to Hall of Fame Inductee Anne Wolfe. In 2023, she stopped former unified champion Elin Cederroos in the sixth round. Since losing her debut fight to three-divisional undisputed champion Claressa Shields in 2016, Crews has gone through a gauntlet of tough fights. After picking up the WBC and WBO titles by defeating Maricela Cornejo, she added to her legacy by becoming undisputed with a victory over Elin Cederroos in 2022.
