Boxing in Britain is beginning to shape up nicely in 2018.
It seems like Frank Warrens resurgence is only just getting started as today he announced the following fights:
- Carl Frampton will face Nonito Donaire in Belfast on April 7th
- Lee Selby vs Josh Warrington for Selby’s IBF title is a done deal. Leeds is the venue with a date TBC.
- Terry Flanagan will make his light welterweight debut against Maurice Hooker. (Date and venue TBC).
- Finally Sadam Ali vs Liam Smith is currently being negotiated.
In other news Britain’s other powerhouse promoter Matchroom Sport today announced Dillian Whyte will fight Australian Lucas Browne at London’s O2 arena on March 24th. It seems Warren is stealing a march on Hearn. But don’t forget a certain Anthony Joshua’s fight with WBO Champion Joseph Parker is due to be announced any day now.
