Liam Smith Wants Kell Brook Next!
Well following his successful return to the ring Kell “The Special One” Brook (39-2, 27 KO’s) did not have to wait long before the call outs began!
Sitting ring for the bout former WBO super welterweight champion Liam “Beefy” Smith (29-2-1, 16 KO’s) wasted little time expressing his interest in facing Brook in his next outing.

While speaking with IFL TV, and before Brook could even conduct his in-ring post-fight interview, Smith let it be known that a showdown with the Special One is fight he has and still craves.
“Obviously, this is a fight I’ve called for. For a while and I’ve chased that fight because he is a big name. Now I want that fight because I know I will beat Kell Brook.
“I want that fight next. He can’t get a world title [fight]. I’m not going to get a world title [fight] next. [WBO super welterweight champion] Teixeira is fighting his mandatory next.
“I think I am the next mandatory so I will have a fight with Kell Brook in the meantime.
“I do feel it’s more of a level playing field as we’re both at the same stage. I’m probably going to get a world title shot before him if you go by rankings. I’m Teixeira’s next mandatory but I know he’s got a mandatory now and he won’t have to fight me until December or maybe even next year.
“So that is a fight I would like in the meantime.”
It will be interesting to see how, or even if, Brook responds to this lightening quick call out.
