Danny Garcia will get his shot at Errol Spence in January!

Well we knew Garcia would be next but it didn’t take long to set a date!

3kingsboxing.com has learned that the newly crowned unified welterweight champion will defend his titles against former two-division world champion Danny Garcia (35-2, 21KO) on January 25 according to Mike Coppinger from The Athletic.

The fight will take place on Fox Pay-Per-View which will be Spence’s third consecutive fight as a pay per view headliner. People watching the aftermath of Spence vs Porter were taken back as Fox’s Hedi Androl introduced Garcia as the next opponent for Spence.

Nevertheless, it seems as if Garcia will be the latest to get a shot at dethroning the unbeaten two belt titleholder. The former champion has the ranking to do so as he is #1 by the WBC and #4 by the IBF.

This match-up was thought to happen maybe a year or so ago after the unified champ won the IBF strap from then champ Kell Brook. However, Garcia balked at the idea of the fight at the time, feeling as if he had warranted the opportunity although he was the champion.

Like Spence said in his post fight interview to the former two division champion, who called him out face to face “how the tables have turned.”

3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor this story and provide updates once an official confirmation is announced.

  1. Only reason why Danny Garcia wants spence is because he’s PPV now if its not PPV I wonder if he would still want to fight him? funny nobody wanted to fight spence now its either Spence Or Pacman they want a shot at

  2. In no way should Errol vs Garcia be a PPV fight. Come on….What’s with PBC making all these PPV fights? PBC was suppose to give back to the fans, give us fights that help eliminate PPV. Now they’re the only ones doing PPV. What the hell is that? Not one fighter with PBC is an elite A level, P4P PPV fighter, unless they have Manny. All the top P4P fighters are with ESPN+ or DAZN, and they dont even charge PPV. No way in hell am I paying $75 to watch Errol beat up a guy like Danny Garcia, that has never been all that great since leaving 140. Has Danny even knocked anyone out at 147? Errol Spence is going to beat on Danny almost the same way he beat on Mikey Garcia. Errol is running scared from Crawford. I didn’t feel that way before, but after watching Errol struggle with Porter the way he did, now I understand why he’s swerving Crawford. Fighting Danny does nothing for Errol. So fight Crawford, or move up to 154 and fight J-Rock.
