Shakur Stevenson continues his quest to a world title July 13!
Newark’s favorite son, Shakur Stevenson is returning home on July 13. He will battle a fellow unbeaten fighter in Cuban prospect Hairon Socarras (22-0-3, 14KO).
Stevenson is coming off a spectacular performance against former world super featherweight title challenger Christopher Diaz. It was in that fight, that many pundits felt the fast rising southpaw would struggle.
However, he would dominate en route to a lopsided decision by displaying boxing brilliance!
Socarras, is a relatively unknown fighter that has campaigned mostly in the junior featherweight division. This is a huge career defining opportunity for the #7 ranking WBA contender.

Stevenson currently holds minor titles in three of the four major sanctioning bodies (WBC, IBF and WBO).
