Yordenis Ugas Hot on Making a Fight with Keith Thurman!

Former WBA Super welterweight champion Yordenis “54 Milagros” Ugas (27-5, 12KO) likes the idea of a fight against former unified champion Keith “One Time “ Thurman (30-1, 22KO).

During an interview on EsNews, Thurman went on a rant claiming unified champion Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr should thank him. A post on social media suggested the former Cuban champion and Thurman should get it on, to which Ugas seems to be all in on the idea.

In March, 54 Milagros, ranked number three by the WBC, was ordered to fight number-five ranked and former WBA Regular junior welterweight champion Mario Barrios. As of the writing of this article, there has been no movement on that front.

THURMAN VS UGAS IS A GOOD FIGHT TO EXPLORE

A fight between Thurman and Ugas is a good fight and can still be for the WBC Interim title. This is a good fight that should be explored. The boxing world’s patience is running out waiting on the undisputed showdown between Spence and rival WBO champion Terence Crawford.

Ugas has not been in the ring since suffering a broken orbital bone in defeat against Spence in April 2022. In August 2021, he scored his biggest career-win by shocking the world against eight-divisional champion Manny Pacquiao.

Thurman was last seen putting on a dominating performance against Barrios in 2021. The injury bug has hindered One Time from being active in the ring. He has fought only once a year since 2015. Moreover, he went almost two years before stepping back into the ring following a loss to Pacquiao in 2019.
