Guido Vianello Walks Through Alexis Barriere & Calls Out AJ!

Following a fan-friendly duel, heavyweight fighter Guido “The Gladiator” Vianello (14-3-1, 12 KO’s) felled Alexis Barriere by fifth-round knockout. With the victory, Vianello, who entered the match ranked #15 (IBF), will now look for more notable opponents and lucrative paydays.

During his post-fight interview, The Gladiator proved himself not to be bashful by calling out the highly decorated two-time heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua. Admittedly though, there is not a significant reason to believe that Joshua would look toward the rather obscure Vianello.

This may not be the case for some of the other gladiators in the IBF rankings. Three in particular are Jared “The Real Big Baby” Anderson (#9), Michael Hunter (#10) and Martin Bakole (#11). Anderson is one fight removed from his first career-loss – a knockout defeat at the hands of Martin Bakole.

In his rebound bout, The Real Big Baby picked up a unanimous decision win over Marios Kollias. Perhaps Anderson could be enticed into the ring with Vianello before reengaging those at the top of the food chain.

The talented, yet sporadic, Michael Hunter has not fought this calendar year and is in need of a match. The Gladiator could make for a good welcome-back to the squared-circle. The same could be said for the previously mentioned Martin Bakole.

After stopping Jared Anderson in fashion, Bakole was stopped by Joseph Parker in his very next fight and claimed a draw versus Efe Ajagba after that. Having gone more than one year without a win, Team Bakole may be attracted to Vianello and his glossy new win. Let’s see what’s next for Team Vianello.
