Ryan Walsh defends the British title December 22
Ryan Walsh (22-2-2 11KO) will defend the British Featherweight title against fellow countryman Reece Bellotti (13-1, 11KO).
Walsh (32), ranks #7 by the WBO and a victory could improve his ranking position a little. This is a stay-busy fight that has a lot of risk factors. Consequently, a loss could set things back for the older veteran.
This fight presents Bellotti (27) with a huge opportunity. A victory not only captures a belt, but a possible world ranking also. This will mark the fourth fight of the year for the challenger.
INTERESTING FACTS:
Walsh is a former English super bantamweight Champion and has competed for every British version of the featherweight title.
Bellotti is a former WBC International Silver Featherweight champion and Commonwealth Featherweight champion.
The winner of this bout will move forward with their career in a deep division that is open for new challengers.
This bout has been added to the Whyte-Chisora 2 under-card at the O2 Arena, Greenwich, London on December 22.
