Frank Warren hints at Fury vs Miller
It looks like Jarrell Miller will get a reprieve after failing multiple VADA tests in preparation for his scheduled bout against then-unified champion Anthony Joshua. Yesterday, June 25, Frank Warren hinted that with Tyson Fury fighting in New York this coming September, Jarrell Miller could be his opponent. This would be highly controversial due to the failed PED tests by Miller. It’s hard justify the New York native as an opponent but, the circumstances may attract fans. With Tyson Fury’s last fight being a commercial failure, he definitely needs a dance partner with name recognition.
In his interview, Frank Warren took the time to take a shot at Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn.
“I’ve seen Eddie Hearn having a little moan about Miller being a potential opponent for Fury next. But, you know, this is the guy that put Daniel Jacobs in with Canelo and who promoted Alexander Povetkin.”
Warren is referencing failed PED tests by both Canelo Alvarez and Alexander Povetkin. It’ll be interesting to see if the NSAC licenses Miller for a September bout and, if Fury vs Miller happens, how fans will receive such a fight.
