Estrada wants Rungvisai rematch soon

Former world champion Juan Francisco Estrada & his team wants a rematch with WBC Super Flyweight Champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai this year, possibly as soon as September.

Estrada lost a close decision to Rungvisai back in February in what most considered to be an instant classic. Both men showed why the 115lb division deserves our attention and didn’t disappoint at all.

Now Estrada’s team is working on a return fight in June in either the US or Mexico and feel confident that a rematch in September is possible. They also revealed that for one week before the Rungvisai fight Estrada couldn’t train due to muscular issues. They assure that it’s not there intention to make excuses and take nothing away from the champion Rungvisai victory.

Rungvisai’s team is open to the idea of a rematch as well and feel confident their fighter will win more decisively.

Promoter Tom Loeffler previously told 3KingsBoxing.com that he is definitely planning another Super Fly promotion and both Rungvisai and Estrada are likely to participate.

This is a fight both the fans and the fighters wouldn’t have no problem doing again.
