Dillian Whyte close to finalizing a multi-fight deal with Top Rank
Top Rank strikes again! 3kingsboxing.com has learned that number one ranked WBC and WBO heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte is nearing a multi-fight deal with Top Rank and ESPN.
This comes nearly two weeks after Tyson Fury announced his own deal with Top Rank and ESPN.
Whyte was in negotiations with unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua for a rematch. However, negotiations fell apart over what Whyte felt was a lack of respect for what he brings to the table in terms of money.
After that, Whyte flew to America meeting with representatives of Showtime, DAZN and ESPN. After an increase in budget, ESPN apparently was able to meet Whyte’s monetary demands.
He is expected to return July 13, although, it is unknown if this date is set in stone given he signs the new deal. His return will likely being streamed on ESPN+ at a venue in the United States.
