Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury may headline a ridiculously stacked card on December 1.
3kingsboxing.com has learned Al Haymon and Frank Warren are looking to showcase their top heavyweights on a card that is likely to be a Pay-Per-View event in the Staples Center!
Headlining of course would be Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39KO) putting his WBC title on the line against former unified champion Tyson Fury (27-0, 19KO). This bout will also crown a new lineal champion at heavyweight.
The co-main event may feature a unification bout at featherweight between WBA champion Leo Santa Cruz (35-1-1, 19KO) and WBC champion Gary Russell Jr (29-1, 17KO). Santa Cruz has been looking for redemption dating back to the amateurs when he was defeated by Russell in 2006.
Another possible feature will be three-division champion Abner Mares (31-3-1, 15KO) moving up to lightweight to face hard-hitting WBA champion Gervonta Davis (20-0, 19KO). Mares of course will be coming off a loss in a rematch to Santa Cruz in June.
If all of these fights indeed materialize, this would be a great ending to an awesome year for boxing!
