Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury will do it again in 2020 claims the WBC champion!
3kingsboxing.comhas learned that WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and Lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury have reached an agreement for their highly anticipated rematch.
Last December these two men battled to a controversial draw, which many fans felt Fury won. However the two knockdowns by Wilder saved the WBC title for him.
In the aftermath of their first fight, negotiations immediately began. The rematch was all but but a done deal when Fury shockingly announced that he had signed a co-promotional deal with Top Rank. That immediately killed the chances of an immediate rematch.
However, recently Wilder broke the news that after his fight with Luis Ortiz, which is also rematch, he’d face Fury in 2020 as long as he wins. This is huge news for obvious reasons being that Al Haymon and Bob Arum were able to come to a deal.
As of now, a date, location and network the fight will air on has not been determined. It’s safe to assume that this will be a joint pay-per-view event with each fighter’s respective networks working side by side.
3kingsboxing.comwill continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available.
