What Montana Love Are We Going To Get Versus Paro?
On December 9, super lightweight fighter Montana “Too Pretty” Love (18-1-1, 9 KO’s) will snap fourteen months of inactivity. The Cleveland, Ohio native will accomplish this by tangling with Liam Paro (23-0, 14 KO’s). In this affair, Love will also seek to hop off of the #11 (WBO) ranked Australian’s neck and back in the win column.
During his last duel, after being cut and frustrated, Too Pretty employed some dirty tactics. This manifested in Love bull-rushing Steve Spark from the center of the ring to the ropes. Once pressed to the straps, Love flipped Spark over the top rope like it was the WWE Royal Rumble. This naturally resulted in his disqualification and the first blemish on his professional record.
SEEN BETTER DAYS
Since that distasteful duel, Love was scheduled to mix it up with the talented lightweight contender Richardson Hitchins. Their rather bitter social media feud was well on the way to being exorcized in the ring. Well, that was before Too Pretty pulled out due to injury. Since the disintegration of that prizefight, Love signed on the dotted line to face Paro.
Now the question becomes: what Love are we going to see on fight night? Too Pretty has been traveling a notably “up-and-down’ path lately. When in against Olaide Fijabi, Carlos Diaz and Gabriel Gollaz Valenzuela, Love put his skill and ability on clear display. Although the contest with Valenzuela was god awfully boring.
Up against Ivan Baranchyk and Steve Spark, Love was challenged, annoyed, cut, buzzed, dropped and disqualified. As a result, he plummeted completely from the top fifteen rankings of all four major sanctioning bodies.
DO OR DIE!
Given his recent rocky road, it will be revealing to see what version of Too Pretty competes in the ring on December 9. For his sake, he will be the best that he can be. If, on the other hand, Love submits another substandard performance, he very well could be on his way to permanent obscurity from the upper echelons of the division. Luckily, no matter what transpires in the ring, 3Kings Boxing will be here to cover all things boxing!
