Ammo Williams Promises To Retire Hamzah Sheeraz With Love
When middleweight contender Austin “Ammo” Williams (16-0, 11 KO’s) next steps in the ring, it is clear that he has destruction on his mind. This is because, on June 1, when he faces Hamzah Sheeraz (19-0, 15 KO’s), Ammo is aiming to violently strip away his foe’s desire to box anymore. These were sentiments that he shared directly with Sheeraz when the two met face-to-face at a recent face-off.
“I see right through you, this is not what you’re meant to do. You’re meant to do something else. You found a little loophole, you feel like it’s a crack – something that you can do. Your spirit is not involved in this, your soul is not in this, you weren’t born for this! This is something that you feel like could be good and productive for you – something to get a name off of and things like that. You weren’t born for this.”
“So, I am going to cleanse you of this because this is more like a sickness to you; this is more like your sickness. So I am going to cure you of that, I am going to cure you with love. It’s going to be love, it’s going to be passionate. We’re not on a date, but I am going to give you love and passion in there while I destroy you!”

CONFIDENCE SET ON HIGH!
It should prove entertaining to see how Ammo, ranked #2 (WBA), #5 (WBC) and #5 (IBF), operates in the ring versus Sheeraz. Williams is coming off of a seventh-round knockout of Armel Mbumba-Yassa this past February 3. In his last five fights however, over the past two years, Ammo has only stopped 2 of his 5 opponents. Said to say, unless his pre-fight banter is pure posturing, Williams clearly sees something in Sheeraz that he can exploit to maximum effectiveness.
“I am here to devour. I’m hungry, I love it, my teeth, my mouth is watering for you! I want you in the ring to totally destroy, dismantle you. I want to take you apart! This is my energy and it will be this!”
WHERE’S THE RECEIPT?
Given his relatively high standing in the rankings, if successful, Williams should be able to secure a big fight, if not a title shot, in his next bout. With such lofty goals hanging in the balance, it should not be hard to believe the sincerity of Ammo’s declarations.
Yet, while he may be confident, come fight night, the Wisconsin native must show and prove in the ring. So let’s see how this animated feud plays out in the squared-circle.
