Can Xu makes his US debut against Enrique Bernache
Chinese fighter Can Xu (14-2, 2KO) will make his American debut against battle tested Mexican veteran Enrique Bernache (24-10, 12KO).
Xu is looking to make a splash on the American seen in hopes of getting a title shot later this year. The 24 year old hasn’t lost a fight since 2015. He is on an eleven fight win streak and is currently ranked #2 by the WBA. A victory could generate some buzz and finally gain him some recognition in a division loaded with high quality opposition.
The 29 year-old veteran in Bernache has been in the ring with the likes of Jose Cayetano, Aaron Alameda, Edivaldo Ortega, Emmanuel Navarrete and Jason Moloney. He will be bringing a wealth of experience to the ring and could act as a barometer in assessing the true skill of Xu.
INTERESTING FACTS
Xu is also a former WBA International Super-Featherweight champion and has won every fight fought outside of China.
Bernache has never won a title of any kind and lost his only fight outside of Mexico by knockout.
This contest will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on September 13.
