Jose Zepeda Expecting a Brutal Battle with Regis Prograis!

On November 26, former WBA 140-pound champion Regis Prograis (27-1, 23KOs) will take on former world title challenger Jose Zepeda (35-2, 27KOs) for the vacant WBC 140-pound title. Their fight will take place in Carson, California at the Dignity Health Sports Park. Zepeda and Prograis are ranked one and two, respectively, in the WBC standings.

Originally, it was supposed to be Zepeda taking on former unified champion Jose Ramirez in a rematch of their 2019 title fight. However, Ramirez was forced to withdraw due to the fact that he was preparing for his wedding.

Both Zepeda and Prograis are huge punchers. The expectation is that this fight will not go the whole twelve rounds. With their fighting styles, a firefight is sure to break out. With that in mind, Zepeda is already preparing for an extremely tough fight.

“Look, I really think this is a 50-50 fight. It is the top two in the division, and I think the boxing fans know this is going to be a great fight. I’m getting ready for hell because this is going to be a war, I’m pretty sure.”

With so much on the line, if these fighters go out there and let loose like they’re saying, fight fans will be in for a treat.
