Zepeda returns in hopes of gaining another title shot if declared the victor

There is a fight that takes place the weekend of October 20 with little recognition that could have a big impact.

Jose Zepeda (29-1, 24KO) will be in action against Venezuela’s Domicio Rondon (15-4, 10KO) in hopes a victory leading to another title shot.

The 29 year-old Mexican/American fighter hasn’t lost a fight since 2015 when he faced Terry Flanagan for the vacant WBO lightweight title. The fight ended due to a shoulder injury he sustained in just the second round. He has been eager to get back into title contention ever since.

Since returning to the ring, the WBO #9 rated contender won six fights in a row with four by knockout. A surprising victory against then undefeated Carlos Diaz Ramirez, saw him capture the WBA Inter-Continental title in June.

Zepeda is hungry and wants to keep his momentum going. This scheduled contest will take place at the Mexican Auditorio Municipal, Tecate, Mexico and will be televised on Mexico Azteca!
