Alex Krassyuk Gives a Bold Prediction for Usyk vs Fury!

Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is the stage to determine the undisputed heavyweight title as unified champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) will face WBC champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) on May 18. The camp of Usyk is confident their fighter will not only win. They feel that Usyk will expose and humiliate the WBC champion.

IS TEAM FURY SHOOK?

With so much at stake, tensions are running high. During an exclusive interview with the English news outlet Seconds Out, Usyk’s promoter, Alex Krassyuk, said he has plenty for The Gypsy King. But he also believes Fury and his handlers are showing signs that they are on edge.

“They are nervous, and it’s normal. It’s normal to be nervous several days before losing the biggest fight of your career.”

IN FOR THE FIGHT OF HIS LIFE

It’s big talk from the promoter. Usyk is against what many pundits predict will be the toughest test of his career. Fury has unusual athleticism for a man of his size. He is also highly skilled, with plenty of boxing IQ and punching power in both hands. He also has the experience of fighting on the big stage.

In his last outing, Fury looked unfocused and out of shape during a split-decision victory over MMA star Francis Ngannou in October 2023. That will not be the case this time around. All indications are that The Gypsy King is locked in. During pre-fight interviews, the big man from Great Britain looked in fantastic condition and has promised to stop Usyk in seven rounds.

But Krassyuk remains unbothered and has complete confidence in his charge. Currently ranked third in the 3kingsboxing.com Top Ten Fighter ranks, Usyk has been one of the elite fighters in the sport for the past half a decade. The unified champion is not as mammoth of an individual, but he’s on par with Fury in boxing skills and ring intelligence.

A CHILLING PREDICTION

Given that reality and Usyk’s way of making fighters look out of sorts, Krassyuk’s faith in Usyk is unwavering. On May 18, he’s forecasting Usyk will dish out the kinds of physical and mental anguish en route to becoming undisputed and sitting firmly at the top of the mountain in the heavyweight division.

“I see Usyk winning inside the distance because he will destroy the mental stability of Tyson. He will destroy his confidence. He will eat his heart. He will eat his consciousness. He will eat his soul, and when Tyson is completely exhausted, he will just put the guy to sleep, with all the love and respect.”
