Alycia Baumgardner Decisions Beaudoin to Retain Unified Title
In her latest at bat, unified super featherweight champion Alycia “The Bomb” Baumgardner (17-1, 7 KO’s) battered Leila Beaudoin (13-2, 2 KO’s) to earn a wide unanimous decision. It had to be a satisfying win. Not only was the bout contested with three-minute rounds, atypical in women’s boxing, Baumgardner was the co-main event of the Anthony Joshua versus Jake Paul Netflix extravaganza.
While she was on cloud nine about her performance, The Bomb did not say much about who was on her hitlist. While she did not call out or highlight anyone however, when directly asked, Baumgardner did make reference to WBC lightweight champion “Sweet” Caroline Dubois (12-0-1, 5 KO’s). The two have traded words during the build-up of this card and Dubois has blatantly stated she thinks they would make for a big event.
It will be interesting to see if these two fighters do clash together in 2026. While both are firmly in the public eye, and talking about one another, Sweet Caroline has insinuated that she would like to build the fight further before pulling the trigger. If she holds true to that sentiment, then we will just have to wait and see what is next for unified champion Alycia Baumgardner.
