Jerwin Ancajas dominates; stops Ryuichi Funai to retain IBF title!

In the opening round, IBF Junior Bantamweight champion Jerwin Ancajas came out with bad intentions. He was loading up on the right hook as his opponent Ryuichi Funai elected to sit back and wait for countering opportunities.

Rounds two and three saw the action pick up. Ancajas started to land even more thudding right hooks and body shots. However, Funai would also land his fair share of punches; in particular the straight hand.

What a fourth round for the champion, as he absolutely punished Funai! He landed right-hook after right-hook that clearly hurt the challenger. That’s not to mention the tremendous amount of punishment he dished out downstairs.

After two more dominating rounds in which the champion hurt the challenger again, the ringside doctor had seen enough and had the fight called off.

A dominating performance from the beginning for Ancajas, who looked much better tonight then he did back in September.

Ancajas improves his record to 31-1-2, 21 KOs and successfully makes his seventh consecutive defense of his IBF title.
