Jerwin Ancajas looking for a unification next!

Jerwin “Pretty Boy” Ancajas, one of boxing’s longest-reigning world champions, defended his IBF junior bantamweight world title for the eighth time with a dominant sixth-round TKO over Chilean challenger Miguel Gonzalez.

Ancajas (32-1-2, 22 KOs), the Filipino road warrior who won the world title in September 2016 over McJoe Arroyo, ran through Gonzalez (31-3, 8 KOs) with a sustained assault that compelled referee Wayne Hedgpeth to stop the fight.

“I want to thank God for giving me the strength to win this fight and defend my title for an eighth time. I am happy to bring glory to my country, and I want to continue doing so for a long time.”

“In 2020, I will be prepared for what my team and Top Rank have planned for me. I want to unify titles.”
