Anderson: “Jarrell Miller Needs More Than Two Tune-up Fights For Me”

Jared Anderson Says Jarrell Miller Isn’t Ready to Fight Him

Ironically, while they are for drastically different reasons, we current have two heavyweight “Big Babys” staging boxing come backs. On August 27, Jared “Big Baby” Anderson (11-0, 11 KO’s) will face the challenge of Miljan Rovcanin in his first assignment since suffering a hand injury earlier this year. Now that he has sat on the sidelines long enough to allow the injury to mend, Anderson is itching with anticipation to get back in the ring. Likewise, there is Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (25-0-1, 21 KO’s) who is also mounting his own comeback.

Instead of physical injury though, Miller is recovering from a shattered reputation. This is due to the verbose slugger so thoroughly and magnificently failing numerous drug tests. At the moment, Miller, who is built more like Baby Huey than a professional boxer, is two fights into his return to the sport. Regrettably though, the only thing sadder than Miller’s conditioning and level of opposition is the WBA deciding to grant him a legitimate ranking that he’s done nothing to earn.

WILL THE REAL BIG BABY PLEASE STAND UP?!

Nevertheless, with both men being active in the same division and with the same moniker, it’s easy to start dreaming up this duel going down. Before you get to cozy with this idea though, Anderson has some breaks to heavily apply!

“Not really my interest. He’s got a more to prove to a lot more people and a lot more of the fans than I do. Especially on his comeback. That’s his business, the comeback. But yeah, I think you got a lot more to do than just two tune-up fights before we start speaking on that.”

When it comes down to the name though, Anderson is a bit more willing to kick up some dust! Regarding the “Big Baby” moniker, there was no hesitation in his response.

“Mine! Mine! We can fight, it’s mine!”

First, let’s see what Anderson does this August 27, but the battle of Big Baby’s could be an interesting option in the not so distant future.
