Badou Jack Probellum Debut in Dubai on November 26

Sources have informed 3kingsboxing.com that two-divisional champion Badou “The Ripper” Jack’s (24-3-3, 14ko) debut with promotional banner Probellum headed by Richard Schaefer is going to be in Dubai with a possible November 26 date.

Richard Schaefer was once the driving force behind the success of Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions. He is now looking to take boxing on a global tour with a new company. Moreover, his addition of the two-divisional Swedish champion to the roster has sent social media into a frenzy.

When it was reported that Schaefer was launching a global boxing promotion and media company geared towards a “fighter first” approach, it was received with a warm welcome from the boxing community. Which is no surprise considering how much respect he has garnished in the boxing industry.

HOW MUCH DOES THE RIPPER HAVE LEFT?

The Ripper’s career has flourished under the watchful eye of Hall of Fame inductee Floyd Mayweather’s promotional company. Jack has a stellar resume and has shared the ring with former world champions Anthony Dirrell, Adonis Stevenson, James Degale, Lucian Bute, and George Groves.

The 37 year-old from Sweden wants to prove he still has something left in the tank and will be looking to become a three-divisional champion on his journey in the cruiserweight division. To start, Jack had an excellent showing in his last fight stopping undefeated Dervin Colina on June 6.

He is ranked inside the top ten by the WBA and WBC, as well as #12 with the WBO putting him within range of a title opportunity. At his advanced age, the push for a world championship needs to happen within the next calendar year.

The cruiserweight division is wide open since current unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk left after winning the World Boxing Super Series in 2018. Furthermore, Probellum is looking to host fights on a global scale, which is perfect for Jack considering the majority of the fighters in the division are from different parts of the globe.
