Bill Haney Tells Adrien Broner to Cease and Desist!

Bill Haney finds himself in another feud, and this time it’s with four-division champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner (35-4-1, 24KO). Haney took to social media, asserting that Broner’s time had passed.

Haney has been engaged in a verbal back-and-forth with Gervonta Davis and members of Team Davis. In a recent statement, he claimed that Davis is a manufactured, built-up fighter.

The clash with Broner began when the elder Haney, father and trainer of WBC junior welterweight champion Devin Haney, was asked about Broner.

“AB will be commentating on Devin’s fight before he gets in the ring with Devin to fight. I guarantee you that.”

The Problem swiftly responded, challenging the elder Haney to send a contract.

THE RESPONSE TO THE RESPONSE

The elder Haney addressed Broner in a live feed, emphasizing that it’s now the Devin Haney era.

“@ADRIENBRONER Knock it off, AB. We got it from here.”

“Adrien “The Problem” Broner, the real problem is AB, you put you versus Dev on your IG . . . the message went unseen, so you and I and everyone else know what that means. AB, you once represented the respect of boxing, the respect of the hood. Don’t worry about it AB. We going to take it over from here. It’s the Devin Haney era.”

Broner, seeking a high-profile fight, called out Ryan Garcia at the close of 2023 to send him a contract.

The elder Haney wisely put an end to this feud before it could escalate. In all honesty, a bout with Broner wouldn’t add much to the WBC champion’s career.
