Adrien Broner arrested at Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury 2 weigh-In!
Adrien Broner is back in the news and it’s not because he’s coming out of retirement in anticipation to return to the ring.
The former multi-weight champion was arrested in Las Vegas on February 21 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Broner, who was attending the weigh-in for the Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury rematch, was told to leave the arena.
Back in November 2019, he was apparently told on multiple occasions that he wasn’t allowed to be a guest in the arena. Having been spotted inside, he was told to leave but refused. That led to his detainment by hotel security until the police arrived.
At one point in his career, the charismatic former champion was one of the most popular fighters in the sport, and not infamously. Now he is getting banned from casinos regardless of his celebrity status as he falls further into obscurity.
Broner will likely only receive a misdemeanor trespassing citation. TMZ.com was the first to report the news of his arrest.
3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
