Christian Mbilli Gets First Round KO Over Mark Heffron
In his latest contest, super middleweight Christian “Solide” Mbilli (27-0, 23 KO’s) made extremely short work of Mark “Kid Dynamite” Heffron (30-4-1, 24 KO’s). This is because Mbilli dropped and ultimately stopped Heffron with a debilitating left hook to the body within the first 45 seconds of the opening round.
In terms of the fight, there was frightfully little to report. Near immediately after the clang of the first bell, Mbilli pressured Kid Dynamite to the ropes. Once his back was to the straps, it took no time at all for Mbilli to detonate the brutal body shot that brought the fight to an end.
With his clash with Kid Dynamite in his rearview mirror, Solide can now focus on his next duel. Yet, in this case, it’s pretty much a given that he will face Ukraine’s Sergiy Derevyanchenko (15-5, 10 KO’s) in Quebec City on August 17. Despite being 2-4 in his last six bouts, Derevyanchenko would still be the biggest name on Mbilli’s record. So let’s stay on top of this bout and see if everything comes to fruition for the August 17.
