Blair Cobbs Focused on Rocha Rematch Then Targeting Errol Spence
When it comes to welterweight fighter Blair “The Flair” Cobbs (15-1-1, 10 KO’s), there is no question that he is not lacking in confidence! In his last match, Cobbs dropped a rather embarrassing ninth round knockout loss to Alexis Rocha. The setback was made even more sour due to the level of trash that Flair was aiming at WBA Super, WBC and IBF 147-pound champion Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr (28-0, 22 KO’s).
Despite the convincing loss, Cobbs has not changed his tune one bit! Choosing to remain optimistic as ever, Flair has it made up in his mind that he’ll extract revenge from Rocha and then annihilate all the top dogs in the division. Well, this is exactly what the Philly native explained to Fight Hype.
“I can’t wait to smack up Spence…Nobody cares about your belt Errol Spence because that belt is going to be gone very, very soon! Blair the Flair is coming and he is coming fast! There is going to be a rematch [with Rocha] coming very soon. Redemption! And then after we’re going to go ahead and clean up the whole welterweight division starting with all the future champions. And then I’m going for Errol Spence.”
LET’S DO IT AGAIN!
Before he can set his attention on those bigger fights down the line though, Flair must first settle the score with Alexis Rocha, who is ranked #11 (IBF). Luckily for Cobbs though, it appears that they two are well on the way to doing it again in the very near future.
“Absolutely! We are working on a rematch with Alexis and if that’s possible, we are going to go ahead and score that, win big because we are not going to do any more one-day training, two-week training camp. We’re not doing no one-day promotion. Big promotion, big contract with Blair the Flair winning victoriously!”
First though, let’s see if Cobbs can secure the fight and victory over Alexis Rocha!
