Conor Benn Fuels Chris Eubank Fight Rumors with Quick Knockout Prediction

Rumors have surfaced of welterweight Conor “The Destroyer” Benn (21-0, 14KO) and middleweight contender Chris “Next Gen” Eubank Jr (32-3, 23KO) attempting to draw up a bout for this summer. Further fueling the rumors, The Destroyer is predicting a quick knockout over his arch rival.

For boxing fans, this has an all too familiar tone to it as this fight was postponed after Benn tested positive for a banned substance back in October 2022. Moreover, he came under heavy scrutiny when the WBC’s investigation concluded the culprit for the positive results was the overconsumption of eggs.

Team Benn was furious with the WBC’s statement and fired back claiming there was no mention of eggs in the 240-page document they turned over to the sanctioning body. While The Destroyer was sidelined, Eubank Jr was stopped in the fight against former WBO junior middleweight champion Liam Smith on March 11.

Fans believed Next Gen would rematch Smith after publicly announcing he activated the rematch clause. According to United Kingdom news outlet The Sun, a deal for Eubank Jr – Benn is close to being announced for Abu Dhabi on June 3.

As of the writing of this article, Eubank Jr has not responded to the rumors. Yet, fans are still intrigued about wanting to see the fight with all the trolling both fighters have done toward each other’s setbacks.
