Canelo vs Crawford Is A Go For September
Two-time undisputed super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (63-2-2, 39 KO) is all set to take on two-division undisputed champion Terence “Bud” Crawford (41-0, 31KO). Bud is confident in his ability to win the fight scheduled for September 12.
Canelo is fresh off a unanimous decision in a terrible fight against one-time IBF champion William Scull. Although Alvarez isn’t to blame for Scull’s reluctance to engage, he should have done a better job cutting off the ring. The Mexican landed body shots against the moving Cuban native.
Scull had moments landing an uppercut and some jabs. His constant moving and survival-mode style made for a lackluster fight. One judge scored it a ridiculous 115-113, with the other cards being 119-109 and 116-112.
When the fight ended, boxing fans were told Canelo would take on Bud in Las Vegas. Once upon a time Turki Alalshikh didn’t care to make the fight since Canelo was disinterested in making it happen. During the in-ring face off Crawford stated why he’s confident a victory over the undisputed champion will happen.
“Cause I’m the best that’s why.”
Over the next several months, boxing fans will engage in heated debates on who wins.
