Keyshawn Davis Promises Stoppage in Nahir Albright Rematch

It’s not just a rematch, but a grudge match when Keyshawn “The Businessman” Davis and Nahir Albright face one another on May 16 at Norfolk Scope in Norfolk, Virginia. Davis is determined that this time around, Albright will not last the distance.

Davis (14-0, 10 KOs) was expected to cruise to victory during their first encounter in October of 2023. That was far from the case as Albright (17-2-1, 7 KOs) gave The Businessman all he could handle during a nip-and-tuck battle. Initially, the fight was scored in favor of Davis by majority decision. It was later ruled a no-contest after Davis tested positive for marijuana during a post-fight drug test.

Davis has become somewhat of a household name among boxing enthusiasts. However, the first battle against Albright still lingers over him. Albright feels he was robbed and called for a rematch. That has led to plenty of back-and-forth insults in the years since their initial meeting.

LET THE SUPERIOR SPECIMEN BE KNOWN

Just days away from their return bout, Davis sat down for an exclusive interview with Ring Magazine. The former WBO champion believes that at his new weight of 140 pounds, he is unstoppable and will prove his point against Albright.

“When I go in there super focused and in shape, I know nobody can hang with me […] I’m confident in myself that I can stop anybody in the ring, from 140 to 147.”

“This is an opportunity to stop guys that have never been stopped before. Albright is going to be the fourth guy I stop in a row.”

Coming off a draw against Frank Martin in February, Albright has shown himself to be a legitimate world-class fighter. However, when Davis is on his A-game, he possesses the ability to look like an elite-level talent. If he’s able to dominate and ultimately stop Albright on May 16, it would further validate his move to the junior welterweight division and strengthen his case as a force to be reckoned with.
