Robert Easter Jr vs Adrian Granados moved to Pennsylvania!
Former IBF lightweight champion Robert Easter Jr (21-1-1, 14KO) and Adrian Granados (20-7-2, 14KO) were initially expected to be in Easter’s home state of Ohio. Now with the announcement of Erickson Lubin vs Terrell Gausha, the fight will be moved to Reading, Pennsylvania to help build what should be a great PBC card!
Easter Jr is coming off a dismal performance in a draw against Rances Barthelemy on April 27. This coming on the heels of his first professional loss against former unified champion, Mikey Garcia in which he put up a spirited effort. The long, rangy lightweight always peaks interest of the fans with his Tommy Hearns like dimensions in a smaller weight class.
Granados is coming off a seventh round stoppage loss to former unified junior welterweight and WBC welterweight champion Danny Garcia on April 20. The Illinois native is known to give many of his opponents trouble with his style and will always be remembered as the man that knocked highly-touted prospect Amir Imam off his pedestal.
However, Easter Jr is by far the better, fresher fighter who should be victorious against a guy in Granados who’s clearly seen better days. Although, the younger former champion will be making a move up in weight for this bout.
It’ll be interesting to how these two prepare as this bout has the potential to be just as exciting as it can end up being dull.
